Ashmount School provides education for children with (SEN) Special Educational Needs and works closely with Loughborough students. We are able to provide invaluable support and energy to the school whilst also gaining fantastic skills and experience.

Volunteers are given the freedom to choose how they would like to give their time by helping in either:

-Classroom Morning or Afternoon a week
-Swimming lesson each week

As you can imagine, this is an incredibly rewarding project for all involved; strong relationships are built between the young people and the devoted volunteers. The amount of hours or times that you would like to volunteer is totally dependent on how many hours you would like to give.

For more information please contact Project Leaders Charlotte Tripp and Chloe Stirley.

Due to the nature of this project it requires you to:

• Commit to either one morning or one afternoon a week (times are flexible depending on your lecture timetable/other commitments)

• Have an Action DBS certificate.  For information about the DBS application process please click here
