STEM

S.T.E.M is a national initiative that was set up to encourage young people to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities. It is aimed at students from primary right through to A level age and, working with a qualified teacher, the volunteer will be responsible for interacting with these students on activities ranging from marble runs, K'Nex car kits, fun maths road shows and more! Volunteers are needed to become Science Engineering Ambassadors; this involves attending one training session and committing to attend one activity / event per year. This would be great experience for anyone interested in a future with science and teaching.
