FAQs

Can I bring a plus one?

 

Yes, each graduating student can bring 1 plus one with them to Grad Ball. Your plus one doesn’t need to be a Loughborough University student. 

 

How many tickets can I buy?

 

Each graduating student can buy 2 tickets maximum. 1 for themselves, and 1 for their plus one if they choose to bring someone. 

 

Does one ticket cover myself and my plus one?

 

Sorry no, you will need to buy 2 separate tickets.

 

I can’t make it to Grad Ball anymore, can I sell my ticket?

 

Sorry no, tickets are non-transferable. 

 

Can I change my ticket to the other Grad Ball?

 

Sorry no as no amends can be made to tickets once purchased.

 

I’m a 2020 graduate, how do I buy a ticket?

 

If your login to the LSU website no longer works as you’re a 2020 graduate no worries. You’ll be able to checkout as a member of the public. Remember to double-check your name, your plus one's name (if relevant) and your email address are spelt correctly before you purchase your ticket.

 

I’m a 2021 graduate, how do I buy a ticket?

 

2021 graduates will still be able to log in with their current credentials. Remember to double-check your name, your plus one's name (if relevant) and your email address are spelt correctly before you purchase your ticket.

 

How do I buy a ticket for myself and my plus one?

 

Once you have added one ticket to your basket, you will need to go back to the product and add a second ticket to your basket.

 

Where can I buy my ticket?

 

Tickets are only available to buy online at lsu.co.uk/events.

 

When can I buy my ticket?

 

Early bird tickets are available to buy from 1pm on 13th July.

General release tickets are available to buy from 1pm AND 7pm on 15th July.

Final release tickets are available to buy from 1pm on 19th July.

 

Both Grad Ball tickets go on sale at the same time and date.

 

When and where do I collect my tickets?

 

You will need to collect a wristband before Grad Ball. Wristband collection will be available during graduation days in the LSU building. Wristbands will be put on to attendees at wristband collection so we recommend you collect your wristband after your graduation ceremony.

 

Remember to bring a valid form of legal ID with you, current students will also need to bring their Student ID.

 

If you're bringing a plus one to Grad Ball they'll need to collect their wristband at the same time as you.

 

Collect your wristband:

Monday - Thursday: 10 am - 6 pm from The Living Room (previously Piazza)

Friday: 10 am - 6 pm from The Living Room (previously Piazza) from 7 pm - 9 pm from The Union Lawn

 

Is there food at Grad Ball?

 

There will be no food available within the venue.

 

Where will Grad Ball take place?

 

This year’s Grad Ball will take place in The Basement (formerly Room 1) and The Treehouse (formerly Fusion) within LSU.

 

What entertainment will there be?

 

Friday 23rd July - 2020 Grad Ball will host performances Rak-Su, Lousia and Sub Focus.

Friday 30th July - 2021 Grad Ball will host performances from Kelsey Gill, Kelli-Leigh, Mistajam and Professor Green!

 

Will there be a cloakroom?

 

Yes

 

What time does Grad Ball start and end?

 

Both Grad Balls will start at 9 pm and end by 3 am.

 

Do I need to wear a mask to Grad Ball?

 

Please wear a mask if this makes you feel more comfortable, and if you're happy without one please support those who choose to keep theirs on. Some of our staff will still be wearing masks too!

 

Will there be hand sanitiser at Grad Ball?

 

Yes, we have hand sanitising stations around our venue. 

 

Do I need a negative lateral flow rest result to attend Grad Ball?

 

Yes, every attendee will need to provide a negative lateral flow test result (taken up to 24 hours before Grad Ball) when they enter the venue. Proof can be provided by showing an NHS text or email confirming their negative result. 
If you have recently received a positive test result (within the last 90 days of the event date) - completing a Lateral Flow Test could provide a 'False Positive result. In this instance, you will be required to evidence your positive test result.

 

You can order Rapid Antigen Tests online or pick up a pack from lots of chemists. 

 

If you’re a current student at Loughborough University, you can access a test on campus at the Martial Arts Centre on the Thursday or Friday prior to Grad Ball from 7.30 am – 5.30 pm.

I’ve changed my mind and would like a refund, is this possible?

 

Sorry, Grad Ball tickets are non-refundable.

What happens if government guidance changes?

 

Please be aware that all plans are subject to the latest government guidance and as a result, the event may be subject to cancellation - if the event is cancelled due to changes in government guidance you will receive a refund.

 

We’d advise making sure that any travel or accommodation bookings made for Grad Ball are refundable.
