Turn off the unnecessary union lights at night
I want to see this idea to turn off the unnecessary union lights at night implemented because it’s not good for the environment and is a good way to save some pennies if you’re struggling financially. The benefit this idea will have on the student body will be to practice what you preach. As much as I love the light show on my trek back from haselgrave at 4am (it’s very nostalgic walking past, feels like I’m going on a night out), it’s just so unnecessary. Why is the light above the external cogs entrance on when cogs hasn’t been open past 6pm in 8 months?? I understand you might need some lights on for the cleaners but it shouldn’t look as though the building is fully open for a night out.
